Government of Punjab is undertaking wide-ranging reforms to improve the healthcare service delivery in Punjab under the umbrella of Punjab Health Reforms Roadmap.Health Department bifurcated into two separated Departments are Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department and Specialized Healthcare Department. Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department has been established with the vision for better service delivery.It has been built a dynamic organization which is a beautiful blend of traditional Govt. process to modern service paradigm.Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) delivers quality healthcare services to the community through an efficient and effective service delivery system that is accessible, equitable, culturally acceptable, affordable and sustainable. P&SHD aims to improve the health and quality of life of all, particularly women and children, through access to essential health services. THQ Hospital Mian Channu was constructed at 34 Canal Area in 1986 with a capacity of 40 Beds latter on upgraded 60 beds. Hospital provides 24-hour services 7 days a week to facilitate the urgent requirements of the patients. It is attached Population is  about 7.6 Lakh. Urban Population 122,116. Rural Population 639,855. Total No. of Union Councils 29. T.H.Q. Hospital Mian Channu is providing comprehensive health care to this population.
